Homecoming Terp Service Day

Volunteers will work together to package 250,000 meals for malnourished people, focusing on individuals in the Prince George’s and Montgomery counties.  Alumni and their guests are encouraged to volunteer.  Registration will be available in September.

Margot Greenlee: Medicine By the Book

Weaving together compelling scenes from literature and graphic novels with the daily frustrations and long-range aspirations of healthcare professionals, Medicine by the Book reveals the power of our creative minds to heal our ailing bodies.

Designed as a focal point for discourse and creativity, Medicine combines theater, storytelling and movement followed by a facilitated audience-and-cast 'lab' session to immediately propel the work further.

Tartuffe, a production of the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies

The School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies explores how Molière’s brilliant portrait of corruption mirrors contemporary themes in religion, politics, duplicity, and extremism, as relevant in the 17th century as today. She has been called “the queen of Haitian song” and the “new goddess of Creole music” and, indeed, singer-songwriter Emeline Michel has been instrumental in putting such distinctly Haitian styles as compas and rara on the world music map. Singing both in French and Haitian Creole, her songs frequently address social issues with a deep caring and warmth for her native land. Join Michel for a conversation following the performance.
